Those are definitely tough to find. Most likely, you will have to keep an eye on Ebay, but they are rarely listed. I am sure it will turn up sometime though. I do have an extra of the Union limber 6-horse set I want to sell - just haven't gotten around to listing on Ebay yet. It has some damage (not too bad) and some missing chains. I had an unfortunate accident and had it fall off a shelf onto the carpet. I replaced it right afterwards and was lucky to find a replacement - I can attest how hard it is to find any of the 6-horse sets. They are fabulous though. I do not have the Confederate caisson set.

I have spent about a week online and on the phone, but finally got one thanks to Niagara Model & Train Distributors in Buffalo, NY. I always felt that some retailer somewhere had one sitting on a shelf with several year's worth of dust and driving the owner crazy with every inventory.

Congratulations!!! Great job!! I am glad you got one. Those limber and caisson sets are awesome. I actually started to suggest something similar because I did just the same thing with a recent WWII purchase. I had seen one on a shelf in Gettysburg. Got back home, and a few weeks later was craving this D-Day landing vehicle. I couldn't find one anywhere - called the shop in Gettysburg and bought the one from the display!! These out of the way places are good sources (not that mine was exactly out of the way though) - the difficulty is tracking them down and knowing where to look.
