64 years ago today Operation Market Garden began. I was never a fan of Montgomery but I do believe gambles like this need to be taken in war and if this had succeeded, his stock would have increased dramatically.

Thanks for posting this Lee (the fellow Patriots fan that you are); all I can say is much respect for the British Airborne boys who held on at the Arnhem Bridge for as long as they did, stones of steel as they say................
