Indochina - Prelude To The Vietnam War

INDO 009 Military Road Block

Two new additions to our Indochina range, this time a couple of Legionnaires on Gendarme duty man a road block. One Legionnaire is armed with a MAT 49 machine gun, one of the best post WW2 sub machine guns to be produced and our other Legionnaire sports a Carbine.

For those of you wondering about the Chaffee tank, the factory making it went bust so we have to start again. However we do have the 155mm cannon and GMC truck coming for this series and a reissue of our Dodge truck. There will be two fighting Legionnaires next month followed by our Viet Minh 'freedom' fighters, depending on which side you were on of course!

These two figures plus road sign are priced at $99/£95 whilst stocks last.

ACC PACK 090C Krupp Truck

This C version has a different number plate to the previous two and a different style driver. As an added bonus you can also buy this truck with the 7.5cm infantry gun, specially adapted so it can be towed by our new Krupp, the old 7.5cm gun will not work due to the hook arrangement. The cannon can still be used in fighting mode if desired when uncoupled from the truck.

For those of you wondering why the artillery piece is not the same as the truck, well we figured there was a war going on, the chances of the crew being issued the truck and cannon at the same time and then painting them in the exact same shade of paint would be pretty remote (not impossible but remote at this stage of the war), hence the different three tone shades.

ACC PACK 090B Krupp Truck

This version features a driver wearing a helmet rather than the soft cap our 'A' version previously described wears and also a different registration plate fitted to the vehicle. As an added bonus you can purchase this version with a Pak 36 cannon for those of you who want a fuller looking diorama piece, this is a new casting and has been adapted so it can be towed by our Krupp truck. The old Pak 36 was not suitable due to the protective shield at the bottom of the artillery dragging along the ground, we have therefore removed this. The cannon can still be used in fighting mode if desired when uncoupled from the truck.

Preview ROM145 Retired Centurion

A retired Centurion with his wooden Vine staff and golden laurel leaf crown tells everyone he has served his country but has since retired to a quieter life. However he still carries his Gladius as one could never be certain when trouble would visit you in Ancient Rome.
