The last time we looked in on the Indian village, the natives were gathering up the goodies for Thanksgiving (not sure if the Chief ever remembered to pick up the Milk, but I'm sure old Tom Turkey met his maker). Since then it appears there has been an ice storm and the Villagers have hightailed it out of there as a patrol of Rogers Rangers have stumbled in for a spot of tea with their French captive and a general looting of the huts. Trackers are starting to pick up the trail and lookouts posted, but not much more to report other than I have no doubt there is a huddle of Canadian Rangers lurking nearby...stay tuned, news at 11.

Nice. The snow effect is very creative. Suprised with the color of the wigwam. I did not realize it was so varied.

Thanks for the pictures of the settlement and Rangers. Nice scenery and story. BOS is my favorite series of figures. Leadmen

Attaway Walt...great little story and pics...it's good to see the old Jenkins/Frontline Ranger's sets coming out to get their feet wet...they mix pretty well with the new stuff...

Walt

Super setup and story. Brr! I can feel that snow coming to New England before you know it.

Nicely done, Walt. May I point out that a nice toddy would help brace against the winter chill. Bring on the drinking British!

YEP, as I suspected, some French and Canadian Scouts have already infiltrated the encampment and caught the Rangers off guard.........this doesn't look like it will end well. What do you think??

Walt...you really picked the right figures for this scene...the way they are craning their necks to peek around the corner looks like you sculpted them yourself for your story...great work...

I am unsure what will happen next. If attacked, Rogers was known to immediate execute any captives, so ....... More please.

It appears in the mad dash to find cover the Rangers let the French Captive slip away (Napoleon giving high 5's I'm sure) and is now hold up on the other side of the long house. However best I can tell he must of taken a bullet in the knee and is calling out to his buddies to come get him. (So looks like Frax won't get to see Rogers perform his prisoner dispatch act). A couple Rangers however have found a secure position and have been returning fire, so may be a bit tricky pulling off the rescue. Question is where are the rest of the Rangers.....maybe making a flanking move around the outside of the stockcade?? I don't know about you, but I'm on the edge of my chair.

OH.........well the bad news is somehow in all the confusion some one got crazy with a torch and burned the Indian Village down. All gone.

(Truth be told.........under orders from she who must be obeyed the Thanksgiving display must come down and the Xmas display go up...so display real estate now occupied by K&C Life of jesus display)

Well at least you're staying true to history. I think several of Rogers' raids ended up like that - burned village!!

Walt..."she who must be obeyed"...has always been a historically driving force in diorama exposure...:p

Mike So true in common living space............however rule here is I stay out of the "shoe Closet" and she stays out of the "barracks" and no asking me who I am talking to when I am in there with the door closed.

63 going on 10............Walt

Sounds like the scene from the Godfather where his assistant shut the door on his wife as she peeked in on his business meeting...
