This article speaks for itself but a coach told a kid to slide in a jv high school game, the kid was injured and the coach was sued. I suppose this is what high school sports have come to.

if this boy wasn't willing to use/learn sliding in baseball...
he never had a future in it anyway...
that's a fundamental of baseball...

if the ball is hit towadrs your face...
put up your glove...
catch it...knock it down...deflect it...

basic baseball...

frivolous lawsuit...
