Hi all,
I thought I would share one of our Facebook page pictures with you. This is our French 75 in U.S. Service and we have modeled our gun with the brakes set 'Abattage' for firing. The brakes set this way along with the spade and would immobilize the gun during firing. This will be released soon with a four Man U.S. crew.
I thank my good friend Matt Switlick for providing CAD drawings to assist us in making the pattern here.
Matt owns two of these guns and has provided restoration parts to several museums in their restorations of surviving guns.
The paint colors may seem unusual, but these were also matched from surviving examples. There are some interesting photographs of limbers and cassions being painted at the Standard Car company in Detroit Michigan during the war. Each one of them are painted in the same patterns as factory applied camouflage.
The figure is from our summer collection.
All the best,
Ken
