Never went to see this film in small theater release but saw it on DVD and was suprisingly good. It is another Orwellian tale of a world gone hopelessly wrong ending with the last of humanity stuck on a single train running infinately around a frozen Earth. I'm a sucker for cinema that challenges me and stretches my brain, even if it's a little implausable, some great actors in this one and not at all cheap or poor cinematography. A bizarre and somewhat twisted tale of the depths of humanity and it's resilience.

what a coincidence...

I also watched this last night...

very well done...

the story itself...

it took a lot of imagination to come up with this one...

Saw it last night on Netflixs

Certainly not a family or chick flick for sure!

It had some moments, it had some gross scenes but it kept my attention throughout.

The ending? Well lets just say, it was as unplausible as the story but it was entertaining.

Apparently this film has a large Texas Following!?!?!!?!:salute::

Gents,

One of my guys recommend it to me yesterday. I am picking up some Super Nachos from Taco Cabana and going to check it out tonight on Netflix.

Gents,

Liked the flick. Got to see some of my favorite actors...John Hurt and Ed Harris. The concept is pretty cool and ya never-never know if all that ozone hole talk has some weight.

I would like to be in the Fish Tank/Sushi car.

Just saw it today in the plane wen flying back home from Spain. Overall it was fine although there are some parts that don't make sense (piece of beef and chickens hanging in the car: where was the cow and the coop?). Also the end doesn't make sense to me. Anyway still entertaining overall...

What you missed the cow pasture train car? You must have blinked.

Gents,

When the train was taking that long, circular turn during the shoot out part...by the caboose...was the Texas Train. You can barely see it, but there was a frozen flag on the side of it. All the Texans have their own their own Train compartment. In it is the following:

-Mike Millers Margarita Machine (still rented)
-Pappasitos tortilla making machine (with the tortilla making lady)
-A deep fryer that is always on...the Chicken Fried Steaks are Frozen on the outside of the train with the steak fries when you need it.
-A couple of LongHorns that we "borrow" from every once and a while for fajitas and steaks.
-A set of drums and a geeeetar.
-A Cadillac ornament
-A basket ball hoop and mini football uprights
-A couple of Winchesters WITH Ammo
-A bull riding machine
-Dr.Pepper and Big Red Soda
-A BBQ pit with a smoker
-Two mesquite trees, one avocado tree, some chili plants, tomato plant and one onion plant...for salsa and guacamole.
-Shipley Donut maker...for Kolaches and glazed donuts.

We got some other stuff like Beer Brewery and a Flat Screen TV, but uh I don't want to give up too much or we might get invaded.
