Sol Invictvs Romans (1 Viewer)

These figures are fantastic and very unique ! I assume that by this time, the legions were primarily composed of Illyrians, Pannonians, Syrians, and other peoples along the Rhine / Danube borders. Also, this was the religious heyday of the cult of Mithra and other Eastern cults which appealed to the warrior lifestyle. The chain mail and oblong shield also reflected changes in tactics as the legions took on Parthians and Germanic cavalry in a century of turmoil and the "barracks" emperors. Sol Invictus is to be congratulated on turning our hobby into truly realistic and accurate depictions of troops from a troubled time in Western history. Ave atque Vale !!
