I'm looking forward to getting some more of the GIs so I can start some hacking and butchering. I've pretty much exhausted what I can do with the British Paras.
Looking good!!! Glad to see someone else doing some conversions, please post some info on your techiques. I,m not that familar with the base conte figures so i,m not quite sure what you,ve done to them. Are these the new conte WWII that just got released?
Yes, these are based on the 27 new Conte GI poses that were just released at OTSN. Forum member GK5717 picked these up for me and all those pictured, plus a few others are going to his collection. Some of these are just modifications, and other are major rebuilds. The beauty of the new Conte figures is that they have seperate arms and some other parts that REALLY eases the conversion process.
Between Gary Binder and Gary Dutko my wallet stays lite, but I love their conversions.
Next to collecting K&C, these conversions are right there.
Found another guy out in California who is converting the new TSSD Marines for me. Haven,t gotten them yet but the pictures look great.
I know the unpainted plastic is not very popular on this board, but to set up a dio with a hundred or so WW2 troops, all in different poses, along with all the buildings, terrain and bunker pieces and vehicles in 1-32 scale, nothing more fun.

Couldn't agree more, and there are obviously a few die hard Conte plastic collectors on this forum. I guess that the posts are down as there aren't as many new releases in plastic.
Need some more GIs so I can pull arms n' stuff off them and swap them around. Very theraputic confused: ). Any sight of them being released in the States as blister packs yet?
Last word I heard was the ten-figure blister packs are due out after the first of next year. I'm also looking forward to more sources of "raw material". Except that the conversion market is so small, I wish we had sources of "large 54mm" heads, arms, and hands.
