Hi, my 40th birthday present from Mrs Simmo, a few years ago now 
was a trip to the Zulu battlefields - not as extravagant as it sounds as she was working in South Africa at the time and I got a free flight off her company
Thought I'd post a few snaps from the trip of Isandlwana, the British and Zulu monuments at Rorke's Drift and the Boer memorial at Blood River which was very impressive - the waggons are full size.
We had a story-teller for the day who drove us around the sites explaining how the battle unfolded and really bringing the story to life. Great day.
