Like the barn, what's it's history may I ask? The two GI's in the first photo, are they reprints? Not sure I have seen them before Duke. Robin.

That barn is getting a workout Duke! As usual mate, great pic's and I hope those para's don't go around the corner of the barn otherwise they may step in that mess that Jerry left the other day...^&grin

This is just my personal interpretation, but I really like the sense of chronology that you get between the first and second pics. In one image you see a couple of ragged and defeated Tommies retreating in one direction in 1940 versus the other which has two U.S. paras in 1944 stealthily preparing to strike in the opposite direction. It makes it look as if this single solitary barn has really been a witness to some of the war's biggest moments. Great job!

Hi Duke,

It all seems so real! {eek3} . As always, your photos are breathtaking! I love your barn... Did you built that? :)

Cheers

Robin, I am showing the backside of the barn that is a part of a Jakob diorama. The US Paras are DD211 and DD213.

Thanks Tom mate, yeah I'm making good use of the Jakob barn dio.

Thanks. Good Point about the chronology/direction. I did think about how that barn could have witnessed many different events over the years of WWII, but didn't think about the direction aspect so thanks for that.
