Well, I went ahead and bought Classic Toy soldier's Desert Oasis from the Desert Fox playset. I have always found the piece to be pretty cool but had little use for desert-scapes. buuuuut, I converted it to be the ruins of some Chateau, castle or what have you. I'm thrilled with how it turned out and enormously, and sinfully, proud :p
I used insulation boards to make the added pieces, and a little spackle to blend it to the original wall. but mostly its just a paint job with some grass flock thrown on there. I found a step by step video on painting realistic stone and am pretty stoked with it.

I took these right after I finished at like 1-2 in the morning so this is just a quick set up. Ideally, I'll get a few more Allied soldiers painted up to fight the hundred or so French I have. Then I'll get out all the accessories, buildings, grasses, trees etc. Hope you enjoy!
