Why is it when the seller messes up that it's so often because of a death in the family? Before the item was shipped they claimed they couldn't ship right away because they were on a mini vacation...now that a mistake has happened I learn mini vacations happen when people pass away {eek3}

On behalf of all my loved ones, I ask that you please do not order from me. I'd like to keep them alive a bit longer {eek3}

A university lecturer I work with got very cynical about the 'death in the family' excuse when used by students. On a whim one day she expressed her condolences, asked rather innocently for grandma's name, approved the extension and requested the death notice from the newspaper. She was perhaps lucky that on the first attempt she identified a liar who was left with no option but to come clean. In my view, she deserved an award because that one act cut the death rate of family members of students more than the discovery of penicillin.

Oh dear Jack! The students don't appear to be very bright - or computer savvy down there. There are literally dozens of Obituary Templates on the web - and I would have thought that most students these days would be knowledgeable enough to knock up a quick Obit - add a suitable pic - and then produce a photo-copy for clever lecturers, ( maybe adding in a fake tear-stain or two - for effect?^&grin).

After all, most students have probably been writing "original" essays for quite a time - with many perhaps, derived from specimen answers, which are also available via the web nowadays.

Wish it had been so way back when! In those pre-computer days, "cut and paste" was literally the way we put ours together. (That's essays, by the way, I never had a need to "Bury Granny" or knock up a fake Obit!):D

RIP - jb

Well, what you can say about people like that. They're already lacking in character.

Instead of complaining should be happy that the seller didn't die before posting the box, otherwise good buy my money...

I sent some buyers messages that I would be a couple days behind getting their orders filled, exactly because of health issues with my 88 year old father taking precedence
Sometimes these things really do happen. I kept emailing a friend of mne before Thanksgiving about a game. Never heard back for a while. Looked on his Facebook. There was a memorial for him, he passed away
There are weasles out there for certain. But it might not always be you perceive it. It does happen.
