hello all. i would like to know if anyone collects the somerset lines. i collected some 38 of the indian lancers in the early 1990's when they cost about $40-45 each. next to jenkins they are my favorite figures. anyone else? they are top of the line. thanks.

I, unfortunately, only have one of their figures, a camel corps set but have always admired them. They make some of the best figures around and one of the treats in going to Chicago is to see what Ron Ley has in his room.

I met Ron Ley at an Annapolis soldier show. He is an outstanding individual and went through a lot of his time helping me build my collection. I too have some camel corp figures from the 25th Punjab Frontier Force. I bought them for my father. When he passed on they came back to me and sit on my shelf with the 1930's era Britains that were his as a boy. Like father like son.

Blast from the past. The above post was from June 2008. My Somerset collection now total 49. I've added a whole 11 figures in almost 11 years. Not exactly a blistering pace but my momma always said slow and steady was the way to happiness. ^&grin -- Al
