A vivandiere* with the 114th Pennsylvania Zouaves has arrived to offer Christmas treats to some of the Union support troops in the camp: some hot mulled cider and donuts to supplement the standard hardtack and coffee which they are finishing up before sampling the goodies she has brought them.

Nice Diorama. Mary Tepe would be charging for those treats like all vivandieres, cantinieres, Markytánky, vivanderas, marketenderinnen, and marketensters did. Some did say "pay me tommorrow" for a quick brandy during a battle.
If my In-Laws come through with their annual Xmas bribe. I'm going to get "Mary."
