I recently acquired the Blohm & Voss P 211 Volksjäger model (WOW318) from Thomas Gunn to be the latest addition to my Luftwaffe 1946 collection. For a little background, the BV P 211 was a design proposal submitted by the Blohm & Voss company to the Volksjäger jet fighter competition of the Luftwaffe Emergency Fighter Program towards the end of WWII. It lost out to the Heinkel HE-162 and never advanced beyond the conceptual stage.

As to be expected, the Thomas Gunn model is excellent and has a reasonably accurate “what if” paint job for an aircraft flown by Heinz Bar. I’m displaying the model on a TGM display mat with some accessories and several King and Country Luftwaffe pilots and mechanics.

Hi Tman,

I always love seeing your framed displays. What a cool aircraft and your choice of figures work perfectly. That TGM mat is most versatile as well. I've used it for a few different planes myself.

Top notch scene!
