Things aren't going well in the East. An impromtu meeting is arranged , where the Barbarosa beligerents plan what they are going to do next, invited are the romanians, hungarians, the spanish, the cossacks , handschars, Italians and the Indians to meet with members of the German High command. The air is sombre and the Germans aren't happy at their allies performance so far

What a nice montage... superb collection.

Thanks for posting
.

Very Cool

Tell us what is in the mix of those Toy Soldiers ?? I see some K&C - what else ? ?

Thanks Ron and Debrito

Few K&C eastern figures (handschars and cossack) ,one patriot (the general walking to the table) and the rest are del prado who have some very nice single eastern figures like the spanish, cossacks, italian and romanian figures. Out of desperation :D I repainted and hacked some of the del prado figures (some of which you might recognise in a previous incarnation as allied figures:D) to fill out the scene a bit more :)

Great looking collection. I'd like to know a bit more about the various pieces too.

Del prado have a 100 figure collection called Men At War, (made for them by K&C) and they also have a seperate range of Italian Alpini, which contains a couple of nice Italian figures. Its a real scrounging excercise for the Eastern front:D

Really nice arrangements, photos and figures Rh; a pleasure to see, thanks for sharing.

Very unique concept for a diorama Colin, you did a terrific job with it.

The German army on the Eastern Front was made up of many nationalities as was Napoleons "French" army which invaded Russia during the Napoleonic War...............

which del prado number is the Italian Alpini figure to the left of Mussolini?

Hi Oberstoskar
the figure is ALPINI "CAPPELLANO MILITARE, 1940" This is a shot of him from the front ,

Another one I got which I like is
ALPINI "CAMPAGNA DI RUSSIA 1942"

And the other guy is the ALPINI "SOTTUFFICIALE DIV. MONTEROSA, 1944"
