Just assembled this oldie and will get it ready for painting. John Tassel was a multi-talented sculptor dabbling in figures and vehicles in various scales.

Nice castings all around. The assembly of some parts has to be carefully done in stages.

I dusted off this figure and continued to paint it. I've always admired the figures of John Tassel (Lasset) although they are somewhat larger 75mm than my preferred scale 54mm. They were used extensively by Peter Gilder.

Painted most of the figure. He is a buccinator playing the buccine. The curvature of the instrument is not round and has a distinct oval shape. I had to sculpt part of the wolf's tail to fit it nicely with the body.

Completed this. I sanded down the base and gave it another thinner wash of glossy black paint. When dry, I drybrush with silver over the moulded edges.
