Took these photos recently of some just painted Regal SOW Union Infantry in Greatcoats, very nice figures I thought.

Very nice figures indeed! Are these new sculpts?

They look a lot like they were sculpted by Armies In Plastic. Same sculptor?

No I don't think they are new sculpts, just rarely seen. I have been told that there are a number of different sets of the Infantry in Greatcoats though this is the only one I have ever seen.

Same sculptor and same master figures. All the early AiP ranges are plastic versions of the SOW ranges, though not all the SOW figures have been released as plastic and I have seen Regal working on some AiP sculpts that won't be put out in metal.

Maybe "Scotts" get beat-up in the school yard for collecting toy soldiers so they congregate with other collectors. There's a boat load of Robs, Bobs and the like that are Confederate Reenactors.
