No offense but the question was who amongst us spoke Spanish, not German or some other language, and your poking fun at Francisco (Spanish Soldier) by responding in German is somewhat condescending.

"Lighten up, Francis!"

He asked who spoke Spanish, and I don't but I speak other languages, and am just joshing a little.

Now that I've climbed to the dizzying heights of middle-management as a QC inspector, a little Spanish doesn't hurt when I interact with the assemblers. My father learned a little Spanish so he wasn't so much of a "tourista" when he would go to Puerto Rico and when as Harbor Master, talking to Spanish speaking boaters. Around here we interact more with Spanish speaking immigrants than people from Spain.

I lived overseas in Latin America and Spain until I was about 18 so I'm fluent in Spanish but it was until recently that my Spanish speaking ability was used in my work. Now, it's become a major part what I do and knowing that I'm getting more work from other people. It's probably helped my career.
