Hi Guys
I was watching the History channel. A show on the Greek Spartans the last stand of the 300. I was very impressed with there uniforms the Bronze Helmets and Bronze shields. I know some one has to produce these. If I could find some affordable it just may start turning me away from WW2 a little.
Who has them ?

My current favortie are the East of India figures. I have been getting those.

Conte is making a line of them

Of course, St. Petersburg does them as well- they have a nice vignette- "The last stand of Leonidas"

I am going to snatch up all the EoI ones and then fill in Leonidas from St. Pete

Thanks I will do a search and see if I can find some pictures of them.
Thanks for the info.
These guys were great warriors and would be fun to have a army of them.

I kinda like the Conte Line - they are in super human form - but, the poses are great and give to the Greek Legend of the 300 !

Yeah, Conte is like that- very involved figures.

The neat thing about EoI is that the phalanx figures have a short and long pike so you as the collector can adjust them to how you want them to be. This is the first time I have ever really seen anything like that with toy soldiers- almost gives them an action figure quality.

Charlie, the Conte's look awesome, if I could afford them, I would collect them. With the Conte, you know RC will keep making add on sets for the comming years.I hope he will do them in plastic, though metal is the money maker. Check out his plastic Viking and Normand, and Saxon sets, those are in plastic. Whatever era you go for, you will do great setups.Mike:)

I am probably getting a little off topic here but the one thing I think Conte does better than most is scenic pieces- they have always done a great job with "3d" pieces- pieces that are actual buildings rather than slanted walls to go up against something like a backboard.

I am interested to see what they do scenic wise for this time period- in fact- if anyone has any tips for scenic material for Romans, Ancient Greeks, etc I'm all ears. I like the KC Roman fort but not sure if I can still find that out there- I know the front door is still in circulation.
