I was just checking the FL website to make sure nothing new had been posted. None, nothing new, not that I expected anything I was just checking as I do on most days.

Now to the point of this posting, I was cruising around and clicked on the “Specials and Promotions” link on the lower left side. I have been following FL since it started and as far as I know there has never been a special or promotions. Please correct me if I am wrong. Matt, why have this on the website if you aren’t ever going to give us anything? How many years before you offer us a little goody. Something like if you buy 20 and receive 1 free or buy some set amount and receive free postage. All these specials of course would be limited time offers. I am sure you could think of something worthwhile. This could be where you make a special figure only available to good customers who have purchased $500 or more. Not sure about that idea as it may turn off new customers who haven’t had an opportunity to spend that much yet.

I would like to see you track our total purchases and getting us some type of coupon after every 500 or 1,000 dollars we spend. Think of it as your part of the stimulus plan for the economy.

Matt, :eek: I hope this isn’t putting you on the spot, but can you give us an idea as to how you envisioned using “Special and Promotions” and at what time or business conditions would you be offering one.

I feel like in a way you have already have given everyone a big SPECIAL by offering the restocked French infantry at almost the same price as it was when first released 2 years ago.:) Thank you.

Wow, you must be really desperate for new content to have surfed that seldom used or viewed page! Did you get any dust on you when the page loaded up in your browser? :D Maybe I need to update the workbench to distract you all from the lack of promotions! :D

Seriously, though, the fact is, that we have offered specials several times now for a month long 20% discount on our 40mm wargames figure ranges. So the page has been used several times.

Further, when we first created the site and included a "Specials and Promotions" page it was when we were a 100% direct sales only company with no dealers anywhere. So when we initially set this up, we had carte blanche to do anything we wanted in this regard. Now that we have added a limited selection of dealers, we have a responsibility to them.

Finally, we'd like to think that we provide excellent products at an extremely reasonable price relative to the cost to make them and the quality that we achieve. We also provide a very high level of customer service to support these products. I can think of no better way to thank our customers than to continue to do these things to the absolute best of our ability.

Matt can certainly address your question better then me , but I do remember 20% off on orders in the Specials and Promotions........ but it has been a long time ago :)
I must confess I too always check that section right before I place an order ;).
I like your Idea of " Something like if you buy 20 and receive 1 free " so Mr Matt if your getting this please let me know when I can collect all those free figures :D.......I'd be embarrassed to say how many it would be :eek: .......All the best Gebhard
 
Thank you, yes that does answer my question. As always you are very courteous and open to answering inquiries from your customers.

I do remember the 40mm sale promotion now that you mention it. Please don’t delete or remove the "Specials and Promotions" link. You never know maybe someday you will find use for it again.:D

Yes, updating the workbench area would go a long way in distracting me from the lack of activity on the promotions link. I will continue to check the FL website daily.:D As of 1:24 pm on Thursday, December 16th, nothing new.
