Ok, you asked for more, so here is installment #2 - The Battle of Zama. You will not recognize these figures unless you are a painter because all these figures were painted/modified/made by our member Joe Carvalho from many brands of production plastic figures. I've often looked at Joe's many times site and did not realize he is in New England. He's a one man museum!

Most impressive painting and modifications. It is a treat to look at this website. Thanks much for posting the teaser photos and link.
 
Yes, the elephants are impressive. Joe made them using stock elephant figures and custom-built howdas. The dead elephant is my favorite for sheer creativity.
 
ahh....those etruscans
they don't know when they've had enough :)
