It's almost a certainty that St louis will loose the Rams to LA. Now I'm just wondering does anyone outside of St Louis care? St Louis, meaning the city government, had laid out the plans and financing for a new stadium, the "old" one was just about 21 years old, although I even admit it was horrible. To be honest if another NFL team moved I could care less. It's the integrety and money grabbing on this whole issue with NFL approval that is what should cause concern as it could happen to any one.
I'll bet no one on this board, unless they are a more than rabid hockey fan can remember we almost lost our St Louis Blues in the early 80's to Saskatoon, Canada, yes, Saskatoon.
And yes I'm old enough to remember when the baseball St Louis Browns moved to Baltimore.

The Rams should never have been moved in the first place. Same goes for the Cards. The musical chairs to shake down taxpayers to pay for these multi-million dollar stadiums is ridiculous and there is enough evidence now to confirm the "economic" benefits to the community from these stadiums are bogus. The fans in LA and St. Louis have both been burned.

Yep. I am against giving any public funds to sports franchises to build stadiums, ballparks, arenas. They are businesses, so let them pay for their own plant. And they absolutely compete with existing local entertainment businesses, especially today, in this era of a "full-experience" sports facility. Not only is there the playing space and the facilities for the teams, but you have food services that often offer their product outside the scheduled sports events. If the franchise wants funding from the public, let them sell shares in their business and raise their money that way.

Prost!

Still after so many years since my Colts were stolen from me in the cold snowy nite I hate to read of any team "relocating" that word cuts like a fine Forschner blade, I agree the Cards should still be in St. Lo and the Rams in LA and the Colts in Baltimore and the Browns never leave Cleveland, sorry Indy you should have be odd man out in this discussion but as team owners threaten every year now to move their team for this or that reason it just makes the NFL a little more watered down and heading down that same road the NBA has been on for awhile, again I feel your pain St. Louis fans and hope clearer heads prevail but I know better and in the matter of time it takes a Mayflower truck to back up your team is gone the next day...Sammy

The Rams never should have left Los Angeles to begin with; that said, so they are leaving a 21 year old stadium because it's not good enough and moving into a 73 year old stadium, I don't get it.

The coliseum is a horrible place to watch a game, about 1/3rd of the seats are in the back section of the stadium where the olympic flame is, those seats are in another time zone, just awful sight lines.

Now if the Rams bring back those iconic blue and white uniforms with the matching helmet and dump those God awful USFL uniforms they wear now, then they are on to something......................

They're building a new facility in Inglewood, where the Chargers may join them, so if they play in the Coliseum it will only be temporary.

Yes I'd love to see those old blue and white uniforms or even the blue and yellow. However with the way the NFL is these days they'll probably change to an XFL type uniform. The helmet will feature a robotic ram's head with flames shooting from the horns.

Uniforms? It almost seems to be the rule in Australia that all Rugby League teams must play in blue and white. Traditional colours are so last century.... grrrrr

Ownership matters!

Welcome back Rams to L.A. and possibly the Chargers too. Now if we only had enlighten ownership as we did with Carroll Rosenbloom back in the 1970’s and early 1980’s.

Ownership matters…just ask fans in St. Louis and San Diego. A beautiful stadium complex alone will not suffice without a consistent competitive team, otherwise it’s like “putting lipstick on a pig” and the LA fans will loose interest and go back to their myriad other entertainment distractions. If that happens, no one will notice or care when they leave town again as they did in 1994.

So far I’m not impressed with Ram ownership are you?

Carlos

I'm kind of excited now to see the Rams back in LA. I might even break out the old Deacon Jones jersey and get tickets for the first game. There was nothing like watching those guys in the old Blues and white under the California sun. They always eventually disappointed but looked great doing it.
