Yo Troopers, bought this Candian model by Chas Stadden, and lets be honest here they dont come any better than this. Just look at the facial features just superb, always wanted this model with the Pillbox hat, it s quite a scarce item. Also got the Sobraon Sgt today with Standard another superb model, few specks of paint off but who cares its just class, how anyone can get writing that small with a brush (Battle Honours) is just beyond me. I couldn't even read them with my glasses on had to get the old magnifying glass out lol.

Yo Scott, really disappointed I thought it was you:(;) Forgot to mention. The Sobraon Sgt was sold from Harrods, I remember Andy Kent telling me they did a big promotion thing at Harrods, think they did some painting there of the models to show people. Anyway made Andy's day because Linda Carter (Wonder Woman) bought a model from him, but the main point this was 30 years back now and the Sobraon still has the Harrods price tag on just took a quick photo. Price 30 years ago £68.95 and people moan if you put a model up today for £50.00 lol, want them for £9.99:eek:.
Bernard.

Incredible figures.

Were these painted at the Stadden studio or by individuals from the castings? I was never sure about that.

The sculpting is wonderful.

I have a book from 1972 "Color Treasury of Model Soldiers" showing some incredible Staddens, Marciel Baldet and Mademoiselle Josiane Desfontaines (good luck ever finding the latter two makers).

I'll post some photos for you. Its a great book showing some real reasures.

Here you go:
