With time I have gained an interest for Staddens...and samples of the Cavalry sets that were made at the time...
It is a pitty that Stadden is no longer trading and the few sets we see around are so battered up that a complete overhaul is usually required...That is when Obee comes into the picture and gives these troopers a new spell of life....All of a sudden a set that has more than 40 years turns out as if just as if it was assembled yestreday.....:cool::cool:
Although Stadden focuses in many histrorical periods with sets and levels of detail that few manufacturers today are able to pair too.....I focus my collection to late Victorian Wars..here are a few samples....
Cheers

...It is a pitty that Stadden is no longer trading...

There is always the possibility that Magnus might revive the custom figure line. The molds are still there; it's just that there wasn't enough demand for new figures to warrant casting a stock of them to have on hand.

You may have a good portion of the mounted figures there in your collection, given how seldom I see mounted figures for sale, compared with the foot figures. I think far fewer mounted figures were produced.

Prost!

I too am growing to love the Stadden figures.

I would love to see the Custom Figure line revived. The models are beautifully detailed in such as way as to facilitate accurate painting. The uniforms have been thoroughly researched and miss no detail appropriate to scale. The cavalry of which I own precisely none look very appealing with good poses and wonderful horses. There is also plenty of scope to add character to each model.

I think these figures stand up with the best and would be a treat for those of us who like to paint our own.

Perhaps we might see a limited reintroduction of the personality figures from the range as a trial? Perhaps a case for crowdfunding?

The Stadden cavalry are terrific, and Obee did a fantastic job painting them!^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool If I could find them, I would love to add them to my collection.
