Saw this movie last night. Stars Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren. Murder/conspiracy with Crowe as journalist and Affleck as Congressman.
Worth a look. I noted it was based on a UK TV series which I unfortunately have not seen. I will have a look and see if on DVD here.
By co-incidence I am reading a book on the US company Blackwater that supplies contractors to Iraq and Afghanistan. The similiarities between the company in the film called Pointcorp and Blackwater were interesting.

No doubt the coincidence was intended; I certainly hope it is better than War, Inc.

Far better than War Inc.
War Inc was terrible. I was lucky I only saw it on DVD as would have been upset to pay to see it in cinema.
If I was from Blackwater I would be a little unhappy as a bit too close to comfort. Note the question the Congressman asks the Pointcorp boss in the hearing (you have to watch the movie).

I normally like John Cusack but War Inc was almost painful to watch. I will watch this one since I also like Crowe and McAdams.

Useless trivia.
Brad Pitt and Edward Norton were originally due to do State of Play but withdrew about a week before start of filming as they did not like the script.

That is interesting. I would normally trust Crowe before Pitt on such matters but Norton has made some good choices before. Of course who knows for sure why actors do things.

Why to make lots and lots of money of course :D.

I also saw the film and basically understood what was going on but still got confused on some details. Ben Affleck is a killer and uses Russell Crowe. Does the actress who plays Affleck's wife know what is going on or is she in the dark?

Yes there is that.:D Careful though, no spoilers.;):D

You're right Spitfrnd  I wish I could delete my post, so as not to spoil the fun for others. Just wasn't thinking.
