Matt,

This must be the slow time for posts on the forum. I suppose everyone is out having summer fun. After all, it’s not a good idea to get your laptop too close to the pool. :D

Since things are slow, I thought it might be a good time to ask what is happening with the Grenadiers of the Old Guard figures. The last attempt failed due to poor standards at the factory which was given the task of producing them. I know you said they would still be made. What I would like to know is how soon we might expect them. Are they once again in production or are they still waiting their turn to get another factory to re-start working on them? They seemed like some outstanding figures.

It is not like we don’t have enough new stuff already in the pre-ordering stage to keep us happy and broke.

Can you ever have too many figures?

Ain't that the truth. Part of me can't wait for the new cavalry and the other part appreciates the delay to try an fill out the ranks of what I have started.;):D

We hope to release them in October sometime...

Hi
Just been reading the above threads - I really like the look of these figures but never seen any - honest oppinion as to whether they are worth investing in????????

As others have already indicated, the answer is a resounding yes. When you balance price with quality, you can't do better than First Legion. Thier work is on par with specialty figures that go for much more.

I started out collecting King and Country, I now just pretty much collect First Legion. I only collect a few of each to show uniforms and as such, First legion pieces look better on their own than other company's products. (In my humble opinion.) Matt's product is truly amazing.

Certainly I agree. I started out collecting Conte Spartans and Persians because I was drawn to their realistic and dynamic poses and sculpting. Then I saw the initial First Legion Napoleonic release and I was hooked on a new series for the same reason. They do look great on their own and even better in groups.;)

This statement sums up my collecting pefectly! For the price/quality ratio, you can't beat First Legion.
