Superb collection!!!! I love your BOB dioramas, I am working on my first diorama too, I will post some pics soon!!

I really admire your small dioramas - I personally love dioramas with my own Toy Soldiers and you have some great displays there ! :D

Thanks for all the kind words. I really love all these tanks displays, but my favorite piece is the 8x10 photo of the Enola Gay, signed by the late General Paul Tibbets. You can see it in one of the photo's.

I have a photo of the Late General Tibbets, with his autograph as well as the autograph of the radioman from the Enola Gay, on display in my aircraft room. I also have a photograph of the Memphis Belle autographed by the pilot, and photographs of my great-uncles Joe and John, who died in B17's over Germany during the war.

I like the small "vignette" style dioramas. I don't have a lot of display space so this type setup really appeals to me.

What do you use for the diorama bases?

Some of the bases are build-a- rama 10x10 bases. The Panther and Sherman 105 are on FOV platforms. The BB base is an old oval cheese and cracker wood server that my wife was going to discard. The M12 is just a piece of wood that I cut to size. The Figarti Tiger is on an old trophy base. My desert Rat dio is on a 12x12 base that Treefrog sells. So as you can see, there are limitless possibilities regarding bases.

Fov platforms?

Oh.

Well currently right now, like RIGHT now, i'm working on a dio (waiting for plaster stuff to harden) involving a fov jeep and figures.

Okay, the first photo is of the plastery styrofoam, and the one above it is a plasticey thing for the base (broke 3 blades and one styro cutter trying to cut it). The next one is my ground cover supplies. Last is the jeep itself, I did a repaint of the driver that came with it to make him look like an airborne troop instead of a tanker. Anything I should do with the jeep to make it look better?
