A guy had some St Louis Blues game worn practice jerseys for sale on ebay. In his desription he stated no returns ask any questions prior to buying. I sent him 3 messages asking him if he had any LOA ( Letters of Authenticity) and where did he get these jerseys. I have never dealt with him before. Never got a response. I tried one more time tonight with a message to him and I got he does not receive messages. I called ebay and explained that has never happen to me and they said he had blocked me from messageing him and from buying. Either the guy is a scam artist or for some reason if I did buy these items he was afraid I would complain they are not what he had them listed as. The guy has 1500 positive feedbacks, 100%, sorry I just don,t get it?

send me a PM of the auction...I'll ask the same questions and see what he does with me...

yes it is...

until the guy you want to buy from has an inordinate amount of negative feedback...

Excellent point. We all want a smooth transaction and I like to know the bumps in the road others have had.

when buying...or selling...

what concerns me more than someone's feedback...

is the amount of transactions my buyer/seller has...

not to sound unfair or judge a book by it's cover...

but I'm always skeptical there could be a glitch in the transaction when I'm his first...or one of his first transactions...

once...
I had a guy in a province in France bid on an item I had for sale...
he had a few Ebays transactions to his name...
I don't remember how many...
2 or 3 I think...

a few days later...

someone in the same exact province out bid him...
which I thought was more than a coincidence...

the second bidder had zero transactions...
and he won...

when I tried to contact him for payment...
he disappeared...
closed his Ebay account...
was gone...
vanished...

I made a second chance offer to the first guy...

he never even replied to me...

my conclusion was the first guy changed his mind...
rather than asking me to cancel...
he...or a friend of his...
opened a second different account and outbid him...
getting him off the hook...
once the auction was over...
the second account was closed...

I'm not real big on conspiracy theories...
but it was a heck of a coincidence that both bidders were from a small town in France...

Gary...sent you a PM with his reply...seemed like a prompt and proper response to me...

Gary...it's really strange that you got blocked...that's pretty unusual...unless he somehow interpreted your email question as someone he didn't want to do business with...I re-read your original post on what you asked him...and didn't see anything offensive in it...perhaps he got offended by the number of times you inquired...Ebay doesn't make it really simple to block someone...while it is easy to do...it's a process that requires a little specific navigation and time on his part...I can't understand why you got blocked...

would you like me to contact him about it on your behalf?

To block someone takes a bit of doing. I always have to do a Google search to find out how to do it. I think the only person on my blocked list is Scorcher.

hahaha...^&grin...

well that's pretty specific...

but yea...

it's easy to do...but takes a few navigational steps even if you know how...I too need reminders to add names to my list...

as Ebay discourages us from doing anything to impede a sale depriving them of a commission...
they make it a little tricky to use this function...

That's too bad. He is my favorite Seller. Very good, honest, easy to deal with and ships fast.

From Shannon:
Welcome to the EBay Watch Forum. This is the place to inform other members of eBay toy soldier and military miniature listings you feel may be of interest to them. These can be your own auctions or auctions you have come across.
Feel free to let people know if there are specific sellers you really enjoy working with.

Do not, however post complaints, flames or derogatory comments about other buyers or sellers on this forum. Oftentimes a simple misunderstanding between a buyer and a seller can occur. If one party begins posting a one-sided play-by-play of the transaction, especially before the situation has been resolved, much damage to the other party's reputation can be done. It is extremely difficult to "undo" this damage after the fact.
This has happened on the forum at least once in the past where a very reputable auction house was slammed repeatedly in posts by a member. After many posts telling other members that the sellers were untrustworthy the situation was resolved satisfactorily. The buyer then posted a short "oh everything is fine now, these guys are great" post but not before many other members had posted that they planned to no longer do business with the auction house because of what had been posted previously.
We do learn from mistakes here on the Treefrog board and we no longer permit these sorts of public posts.

I'm not posting complaints about Scorcher as a seller; I purchased a warbird from him and was quite happy, as you apparently are.

Nowhere in my post did I complain about him so I'm not sure why you cited the policy ^&confuse

Sorry you have gotten negative feedback. I quite like eBay's feedback system. Of course it
helps to actually read what is stated in the auction.

That's why I read them all very carefully, unfortunately not everyone does. Those that don't sometimes feel they need to leave negative feedback just for spite

I had a seller refund my money and said he would no longer trade with me after I suggested some ways to improve packaging. I previously had bought several items that were received broken, but wanted more as I knew I could fix them. No threats to him, only what I thought would let him have happier customers. But then, we all have our bad days.

I won't mentioned names here as a few of you have already identified him but he is also on my blocked list as a buyer.
