Here is a little dio or display I finished today. It's a Stuart and a jeep on recon in the Hedgerow country passing by a smoldering Stuart (21st Century) hit when "chopping" through a hedgerow on a previous day.

Captain,
That is an excellent display, if I may say so.
Due to lack of space, I have to limit my displays/dioramsa to 2 or 3 vehicles and some figures. Your display illustrates what can be done, even with these kind of constraints.

Cheers

Thank you gentlemen. I really appreciate the kind words. I think i'm going to be doing several in this size.

looking forward to seeing more. Have to love the prices on this gear. One can do all kinds of things with any number of vehicles for a lot less than K&C Tanks. I have a few. I need to get a few more for some Bulge dios One of these days I would like to have all the general Tanks ; Lee , Stuart, Grant, Sherman, Pershing.

i have or had all of those mentioned except for the Pershing. I understand that was one of their early tanks and has been retired for a long time and is very much still in demand and brings about triple the usual money for an FOV.

You are a lucky man ! Too bad about the Pershing

Item # to OMG I can not believe a mass produced toy price

320269329214

Then saw another one for $127:eek:

Does anyone have all of the Tanks named after generals? Stuart, Lee, Grant, Sherman, and Pershing? I just found a Stuart for $14.00 at Target:eek: I can not spend a lot of dough until I have a prudent reserve so cash flow for toyys has been severely cut back. $14.00 I can handle. I did have a good week.:)

KV,
They really are great value for money aren't they, although last time I was in the UK I saw that the prices had jumped a fair bit.
It was FoV that introduced me to the hobby, so I'll always have a soft spot for them.

Cheers

I have to agree with you Harry. Plus I like the 1/32 scale. As much as I like some of the other makers stuff in 1/30, I just refuse to cross that line. I like painting my plastic figs so as far as vehicles go I stick with 1/32 so they can be used together.

Oh go ahead come to the DARK SIDE!!! MUahahahahahhahaaaaaaaaaa;)

I dont see it happening. Although, when it comes to this hobby I have said that before and been completely wrong.

Don't forget the Chaffee (M24) named fo Adna Chaffee "father of the Armored Force". Pershing and Chaffee were about the first tanks to named by the Americans. The other names came from the British, who started the whole "name thing". To the US Army that thing we call a "Sherman" would be "Medium Tank M4" (or M4A1, M4A3, etc). On US Army records they were simply "medium tank", although some records break them down by "medium tank, 75mm gun" and "medium tank, 76mm gun".

Post-WW2 one can find the "Patton", "Walker Bulldog", "Sheridan" and "Abrams".

Have Sherman in 21st, and Frontline. K&C Chaffee. Did not know about that. I was thinking about FOV stuff for WWII that used ACW general names. But I like the heads up. Thanks!
