Sturmtiger availability?? (1 Viewer)

Bill,

I'm sending the pictures to dealers today so it will depend on how fast they can feature their websites. I guess that you'll be able to contact them tomorrow to place your order.

Thanks,

Ana

Please let me know, if this Sturmtigers are same size than K&C "ordinary" Tigers , or a lil'bigger?

They're 1/30. Some of the K & C Tigers had shrinkage, making them a tiny bit smaller.

I wish this piece were still available. Its the only vehicle made by Honour Bound I don't have at least one version of, and I am kicking myself for not ordering one.:(

Louis,

You could always pick up an NMA one, and perhaps get it repainted?
I know it's not the HB version, but the tank itself isn't bad, especially for the price you can still get them for.

Simon,

Thanks for the suggestion, but it is not the particular vehicle (Sturmtiger) I want so much as the extraordinary quality of the Honour Bound Gold edition vehicles. When the first two I got (a Tiger and a Snorkel Sherman) arrived (the Tiger in about 30 pieces - but that's another story), I was really impressed.

Certain items, like the old K&C wood metal and resin vehicles, the Honour Bound Gold Edition vehicles, the new K&C warbirds, the Figarti shock and awe pieces (Tiger, E-Boat, Leopold Gun) and M3 Grant/Lee Tanks, and some of the top quality Russian figures are just works of art in their own right. When I can find the funds to obtain one of these truly special pieces, they mean much more to me than the more mass produced toy soldier items.

I am kicking myself, because I just didn't realize how special the HB Gold vehicles were until I saw the Snorkel Sherman (barely in time to order one), but when I was in a position to make another order, it was too late to order any other Gold edition vehicles. I wanted to order another Gold Edition Sherman, this time with the foliage camouflage feature, as well as a Sturmtiger. Honour Bound decided to sell the accessories, including the foliage camoflage separately, so with a lot of help from Ken Osen (thanks again, Ken!), I was able to transform a regular HB 76mm Sherman into the foliage camouflaged Sherman I coveted, but I am SOL with regard to the Gold Edition Sturmtiger.

Louis,
I'm with you on this. I was in Iraq when the Gold Edition came out so I too missed out. I did manage to get a Gold Edition Tiger and it is the pride of my collection and well worth the extra expense.

I keep hoping that Honour Bound will consider doing a limited run on the Sturmtiger even if the price is higher than the original release.

Semper Fi!

I want one too. That's four counting General Custer (Panzer, Louis and me). How many units does it take to make it profitable for HB to do this? I don't know, but I am willing to support a limited release that does not expose HB to taking a loss on a production run.

I'm on board for that idea. How many of us would you need to pull it off, Anna?
