So my wife wanted to watch The Bachelor and I went to the other TV and looked for a DVD to watch.
My neighbor got me an "ammunition can" set full of war movies and documentaries. Most kind of sad or low budget BUT this movie Sundown was fun. You can get it alone on DVD from NETFLIX

IMDB has this review...
"......Set in 1940s Kenya, This is a good African adventure flick, with a tale that is tied in very well with the contemporary World War II backdrop to this 1941 production. In fact, there's a really wonderful scene, that I won't describe in detail (don't want to give anything away) in which an Italian from Abyssinia expresses passionately the global significance of what is transpiring in this isolated Kenyan outpost. From there we have a tale of intrigue, adventure playing itself out across exotic landscapes, dark caverns, and lovely lake-fronts. All in all, this movie has a strong Rider Haggard flavor. If you know and like Rider Haggard's stories, you'll probably like this movie.

Western actor Harry Carey is the Allen Quartermain character. There's also the humanist Italian POW character from numerous WW II movies. The "bad-guy" Africans look like Somalis or "Fuzzy-Wuzzies" played by "white" actors. "Good Guy" Africans are the Masai, with Emmett Smith and Dorothy Dandridge as the romantic locals.
You also have Bruce Cabot as a Canadian and main good guy with Gene Tierney as a Westernized Arab-European right out of a Tarzan or Haggard movie. She's part Gunga Din as well.
