Just a word of caution. I tried to remove some super glue around handles of my Marine Amtrac and it took paint off. I had to touch up a small spot. I should have known better or tested it on the bottom. Just a word of advice. Leadmen
So anyway, there is this jerk who occasionally, shall we say over reacts (sort-of-an understatement). I would like to apoligize to those of you whom I was so rude to yesterday. I offer no excuse other than I let my anger at something else overcome my sense of respect.
Regarding the super glue remover, I don't know what brand you are using but the one I use has not removed paint from my K&C vehicles or figures. I have had to use super glue often to fix shipping problems. I obtained my experience in model railroading and have taken upon myself to fix or to modify diecast or resin figures or vehicles. I always use a minimum amount of everything, often using a toothpick or small dental probe to apply any wet liquid. This may be part of your problem with the paint being removed. Also, different surfaces and different types of paint are present on all miniatures, so beware and use the bottom or some surface out of sight for testing.
It would appear that more of my handi work(?) is now on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/King-Country-WS...oryZ2634QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem it seems to be one of the retired K&C I traded with Shannon and Pete recently, at least the missing steering wheel makes it a possiblity. When Shannon and Pete had the one I traded to them, the steering wheel was removed from the drivers hand and placed on the dash board. I then repainted the drivers hand and used him as a tank crew member. I parked the truck in a supply point and wanted it to have no driver but to have a steering wheel (same as the DD38).
Anyway, I hope to learn from my mistake and that you guys will still accept me as a peer. Michael

Wellington, friend and fellow Napoleonic Collector: Perhaps we can blame it on the phase of the moon. I too had a very bad day and meant not a word. Michael
LOL...maybe I'm glad I wasn't here, we are all friends!!!! ...I know one thing next time I will just keep my mouth shut realized I put my foot in my mouth yesterday and tried to do some damage control, but by the sounds of it I had little success.
Thanks for tip on super glue remover- touched up spot you can hardly tell. I did use official super glue co. remover but probably rubed too hard with a Q-tip. I should have used a pick and do you let the remover sit awhile before trying to take off the glue? Next time I will be more cautious. Leadmen (John).
Can you use superglue remover on fabric? We had the bright idea to superglue some badges on a Cub Scout uniform and a big drop of superglue spilled on the pocket. A Cub Scout is supposed to be "clean" which I assumes means keeping his uniform in good condition so we need to do something about this spot.
I have never tried it on fabric. I would advise you to give it a try with just a little bit to begin with and see what happens. What's the worst that can happen, you have to buy another shirt. If it works, you don't.
