Thanks...always good to see pictures of my city, one of the greatest places on this planet.
The most diverse city in the world with over 160 languages spoken. Its dirty, noisey, rude, frenetic, expensive, crowded and tough but it mostly works!
The only drawback....no toy soldier stores!

Thanks for the photos. Jacob Riis was a fascinating man, who documented some tragic times in this great city. The photo of the street kids huddled over the steam grate for warmth, without any shoes or socks during a New York winter was heartbreaking. I'm just glad I was born in the 20th Century rather than the 19th.

Louis, yes that pic moved me perhaps more than all the others. Those kids must have been tough, wonder what happened to them. As you say my friend we were born in the right century and how fortunate we are.
