Stopped off for a pint yesterday in a nondescript pub in a small village on Somerset, the Knatchbull Arms.....

The Knatchbull played host to the largest single gathering of American Generals away from American soil. Shrouded in some secrecy, Joseph Stillwell, Omar Bradley, Henry 'Hap' Arnold, George Patton, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Douglas MacArthur and George C. Marshall all met and tipped a few in the Knatchbull during World War II.

I love England. Surprises everywhere.

That is an interesting historical find ...{sm4}

How did you discover this fact? Did they have a plague on the wall or photos?

YOUR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT: Gather all the figures mentioned and build a diorama showing the inside of the pub with all that brass! {eek3}

Not sure if I ever saw a Stillwell figure or a Hap Arnold figure? The rest I think can be found in the K&C sets

Very cool! It would make a fun display with them all in the bar solving the worlds problems! I wonder why no one has done Stillwell. He was in China for a long time.

Evening Dave,
Ya' I was wondering the same.
The new manufacturer, Ready 4 Action is focusing on the China-Burma-India theater with some of their sets. I believe that they announced the Merrill's Marauder series.

See http://www.mmtoysoldiers.com/Ready4Action.html for a sample of these figures. If they have Merrill's bunch can Stillwell be to far behind?
