I've heard people refer to the Symposium, but I don't know anything about it. Can someone explain the who, what, why and where of it?

The who is anyone who responds when I put out the invitation (last year 42 people came, we have had people from France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, mainland China and all over the USA), along with the three sponsors, Larry Lo, Hans Hedrich and myself (plus from now on a fourth, Mark Hoffman), as well as Andy Neilson and Gordon Neilson of K&C.

The what is a weekend of good fellowship with excellent free food (two dinners, one at a private club where I am a member, one at Larry Lo's restaurant, rated a 26 for food by Zagats, two lunches one at my house, one sponsored by Mark Hoffman), tours of several collections (mine, Larry Lo's and Mark Hoffman's), talks by Andy Neilson of K&C, and visits by other Toy Soldier producers (last year James Wang of Figarti made an appearance) and a visit to the first big Toy Soldier show on the East Coast.

The why is to get together, talk about the hobby, try to influence the producers to make the products we would like to see, or to make improvements to the existing products, and just have a great time.

The where and when are New York City over the second weekend in March (the weekend after the Westcoaster) annually.
