Dear Richard or Ken looking through britains brochures noticed in the 2008 brochures not all scenes specify which era they are supposed to be used...
any reason?

Hello There!
We felt that some things like a dry stone construction walls or tree stumps would be almost timeless. Other things like the plank fencing or brick walls seemed pretty universal too. The wood shed and wash house had appeared in an earlier flyer for ACW...these structures would be typical North American out buildings from the late eighteenth century until the late 19th century, so they would be useful for more than one range.
If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Ken,

I truly love your tactical scenes and own practically all that fit with the AWI. I am working on an AWI dio idea that is yet to be produced but centers around a battle occuring at a farm. Your haystacks, corn rows, and buildings such as the springhouse w/trough, for example, will all play a part in my dio idea. It seems that you've issued many scenics related to this "farm theme". Will there be any future scenics made in this theme, such as a farm house or other farm-like buildings?

Ken,

I too would like to see a colonial era farmhouse similar to the Zulu War hospital. Making it a colonial era farmhouse would let us used in for the Revolutionary War as well for the Civil War. It sometimes easy to forget that only 80 years separated the Revolutionary War from the Civil War.

Another item I would like to see is a corner for the Turnpike fence. I know I could most likely make one, but it wouldn’t be a s nice as one that you would make.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks so much for your kind comments! We had hoped to release more scenics with the new flyer...but the clock seemed to move faster than usual and the deadlines are here! We will add additional scenics along these lines with upcoming catalogs, including cabins, homes and other structures. I try to design scenics that will work well for larger time spans and that has been the thought behind the design and patterning for dwellings as well. There will be another catalog yet this year and we hope to make additions to several of the ranges that were missed with the upcoming flyer.
All the best!
