Watched Taken 3. If you have seen 1 or 2 you know what kind of movie it is. As in one good guy takes on a lot of bad guys.

Credits have one of the longest lists of stunt people I can remember. Plenty of action and chases.

Before the movie had a preview of another of his coming movies called Run All Night. He plays an ageing hit man who is up against his former boss Ed Harris. Looks similar type of movie to Taken except switched to a son ! Not bad going being an action movie star at 62 and certainly up there with the best of the current action stars.

Had a look at what else Neeson got coming and there is a Martin Scorcese movie coming called Silence which is about Jesuit priests being persecuted in 17th century Japan. If Scorcese directing then a must see for me.

Interesting to see he was first choice for Lincoln but finally turned it down as he thought he was too old.

Re: Liam Neeson should play Paddy Mayne

I always thought that Liam Neeson would make an a excellent choice for SAS Major Paddy Mayne as he looks very close and has that same repose. Real action through history not this Hollywood make believe, actually I am surprised we don’t get more WW2 films from the British side.
I really would like to see a SAS film or LRDG movie based on the book, Born of the Desert where the action is narrated through the author with the key characters playing their respective parts.

Paddy Mayne story would make for an excellent movie. Neeson might be a bit old for the part though. Would be nice to have an Irish actor. What about Colin Farrell ? 20 years younger than Neeson. Are there any other Irish actors ?

Directed by Ridley Scott !

Any of you Neeson fans remember his guest-star role on Miami Vice? He played the IRA operative in the 1986 3rd season opening episode "When Irish Eyes are Crying". Pretty good episode, even though he gets killed in the end. -- Al

The first time I sore Liam in a film was the Dead Pool {1989} thought he came across as rather annoying but became a fan after Rob Roy!
