 Just Heard from a Good source, that Movie Producer "Steven Spielberg", is Early stage Planning , a "NEW" Movie on , "Rommel "and the N.African (Desert War), in the New Future! This Plan was Base on VALKRYIE, with Tom Cruise Scene's from the AK Desert! This would be GREAT, if it would be as GREAT, as his "Saving Private Ryan"! We'll keep you Informed, if we Hear any More Info, on this NEW Movie! CIAO!

He has a TV series called The Pacific scheduled for 2009 (TV miniseries) and also Lincoln announced for 2011. He must be a busy chap as between now & 2011 he has 8 projects in the fire.

Tom Cruise will rejoin Spielberg to star in and co produce the director's next World War II project, ''Ghost Soldiers.'' The movie will be based on Hampton Sides' book about American survivors of the Bataan death march, who then endured three years in a Japanese prison camp....

The Pacific is in post-production right now and will be released middle/late of this year on HBO.

Not to mention his video game involvement.:D I look forward to his When Worlds Collide remake but I certainly hope it is better than War of the Worlds. I thought his recent Eagle Eye was really quite good though. Ghost Soldiers has been on the horizon for years but I haven't seen any notice of real progress on it.

Looks like JG is now going to hound Steven Spielberg, ouch!

"Ghost Soldiers" was a great read! I enjoyed it tremendously.

There has already been a movie "based" on the book. It was made fairly recently. Name was "The Great Raid". I have the DVD. I dont remember it being in theatres. Starred Benjamin Bratt, Joseph Fiennes, James Franco and Connie Nielsen. I thought it was "OK" to pretty good. Ebert gave it three stars.

Sorry guy, but I HATED Eagle Eye. Wasnt plausible, and highly predictable, IMHO.

No problem for me, I would say the same thing for WotW. Anyway we don't have to all like the same thing mate; if we did, there would be no point in having any preferences.;) Allah does love wonderous variety.:D
