The newest release from Squadron publications is a fine softbound book by David Harper covering the tanks in combat on Iwo Jima in 1945. This is a great book for the researcher or model builder. "Tank Warfare On Iwo Jima" does not go much into the story of combat on Iwo Jima, but rather tanks a very technical look at the tanks used. Covered information includes the model of tanks used by the different units, the modifications found, the colors used and any markings information that is known. David Harper is known in model building circles as a true expert on USMC combat vehicle during WW2. He has researched archives and talked with veterans of the battle.
The book is listed on the Squadron Shop website. I ordered my through the local HobbyTown USA and got good service.
