TCM is continuing it's Friday night theme of WW I related movies. The first one was Random Harvest, with Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson, which I missed.

The second was Waterloo Bridge with Vivian Leigh and Robert Taylor, who are very good. The movie was made in 1940 and WW I is in the background; it could have taken place in any war, however. It's a tragic story about a well to do officer who meets and is to marry a dancer but fate intervenes leading to tragic circumstances. Leigh is simply superb.

Next up up is Oh, What A Lovely War. That I will watch on Saturday. It's a musical so that should be interesting.

Brad, I forgot to announce this as it kept getting pushed to the back of my memory, but TCM has been running WW1 themed movies every Friday this month. I think the theme ran all day and not just at night, but I only caught a couple of the daytime movies. How's that for a timely heads up, given that yesterday was the last Friday of the month?:rolleyes2: Sometimes I wonder about myself.:wink2: -- Al
