TCM is running a string of WW1 air war movies today. Currently (as in now), 1930's 'Flight Commander' (the first version of Dawn Patrol) is on; at 9:30 am is "Ace of Aces (1933); at 11 am is 'Eagle and the Hawk' (1933); at 12:15 pm is 'Today We Live" (1933); at 2:15 pm is 'Suzy' (1936, not sure this is air war); at 4 pm is the classic Flynn 1939 'Dawn Patrol'; and at 6 pm is a 1940 US naval air movie starring Robert Taylor, 'Flight Command'. That's it, but be sure to check your 6 and watch out for the hun in the sun. -- Al

Saw that. It looks like a North American T-6 Texan in German livery, like were used in 'Where Eagles Dare'. -- Al

Flight Command would have been beautiful in color. All the F3F's in full regalia would have been a real eyefull. Neat seeing them all anyway.:wink2: -- Al
True, but the great good fortune side of it is that they didn't show 'Richthofen and Brown' either.:rolleyes2: It is kind of surprising that TCM didn't run 'Wings' and 'Hell's Angels' with the line-up today. -- Al
