Hi.

I want to thank everyone with identifying my last three figures. I had no idea of their manufacturers and never would have had it not been for members of the forum

I have three more figures that I need assistance with. Can anyone help me?

The first is a 60mm version of Charles de Gaulle. The painting reminds me of figures by Reeves International but he is not listed in their catalogs. The same goes for the wounded German. He is 1/35 scale like most old Britains.

Lastly, the Napoleonic was purchased in Dublin back in 2003. He is 54mm. I was told that he depicts an Irishman. I'm not sure of which regiment.

With all of these figures I need to know the manufacturer and the reference number, if possible.

Thanks,
MikeNick

Hi, Mike,

The De Gaulle might not have been sold by Reeves in their catalog, but I do think it may have been made by King-White, the actual manufacturer of the figures that Reeves sold. You mentioned similar figures, and I recall an Eisenhower and a MacArthur figure, which were similar. I have to look through my photo archives and see if I can find the pics.

For the wounded German and the Irishman, are there any markings under the bases?

Prost!

Brad,

Thanks for the information on the De Gaulle. Let me know what else you find out about him.

As for the wounded German and the Irishman, there are no markings under their bases.

Cheers,
Mike

The Napoleonic looks very like Prince August - as a manufacture of the mould - though you can mix and match heads - of course.... Johnnybach

The Napoleonic Figure is a Legion Irlandaise Grenadier as part of the The Edman Collection, Kilnamartyra, Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland, which in tern is part of Prince August.

Check him out on the website here http://www.edmancollection.com/product_info.php/products_id/106

and here is an image with a slightly different paint job.
