Hi Guys,

Well that's the show over for another year but I have to say, speaking personally, that this one was the best show yet since Laura, KingsX, K&C and yours truly took over the reins from Nick and Deanna of TSSD 3 years ago. This year the weather held up and we were able to welcome a record number of attendees to San Antonio. What was also great was that we had more than a few "first-timers" both vendors and collectors. I would also like to thank everyone of the Menger Hotel who helped to make all our friends and guests' stay so enjoyable. The KingsX team of Norma, Adam, Amber, Ruth, Michael, Kyle and our old mate Martin also get a big THANKYOU for their hard work and support over the past 3 days. As I've said and written many times before ALL toy soldier shows are special and unique and deserve your support... Put in maximum effort and you get maximum results! If you can make the effort to attend a show, any show and see how much real fun you can have meeting other collectors, dealers and manufacturers.

Finally, Muchos Gracias to Big John for his "Show Report" and Carlos for the great pix!!! To each and every person, be they collector, Re-enactor, vendor, organizer or a little bit of each....Ta very much and...see you next year!

All the best,
Andy C.

I loved this show so much, before it was even over I found myself already looking forward to next year's show.

Me too, and I have a year to figure out what "character" I will be for next year. Yeah, I guess I will be a re-enactor too...the Hell with it! To those of you who met me, any suggestions?

Thanks Andy and all the Kings X and K&C representatives for an excellent show. Really well done on all counts. The Menger is a great place to have the show too, such a historic place and right across the street is the Alamo in the heart of San Antonio, how much better can you get? The hotel does a wonderful job and the breakfast buffet is a real treat. The whole weekend was tremendous. Here's a photo from Friday night's get together showing Andy, my better half, and myself. My family had a great time in SA.

Duke has that glazed look about him; maybe he's trying to figure out how to tell his wife how much he just spent ^&grin

Duke, Very nice photo ! Hats off to the guy that took it............^&grin It was great seeing you and your family again this year. The party Friday night was very enjoyable.
Seemed there were a good bit more people in attendance for Friday's cocktail mixer than ever ! Texas is gaining steam each year ! Have a safe journey home Duke :salute::

John, I would base your choice on your own favorite historical period.......WWII ? I am in with you here as far as dressing up next year. For myself a black panzer wrap uniform.

^&grin Funny you should mention that Mike. I was not successful. I had a large duffle bag of clothes and I had put one of my bags full of soldiers into my duffle in the hotel room, but alas she wound up looking for some Neosporin or something and came across my "stash" and asked "are you hiding these from me" but I said, "why surely not my dear, I'm just trying not to take up so much space and keep the hotel room clear and neat".... I'm not sure she bought my explanation! Really though, she's great about it. She never asked me how much I spent. I only got the raised eyebrows when she saw the bags.

it was great seeing you and hope your drive back wasn't too brutal...

Mike, great seeing you again as well. We got back about midnight last night actually. Approx: 15 hrs of drive time. I probably drove 12 of the 15. And yes she does give me some allowances on purchases.... in fact she never asked how much I spent. She's great about it all actually, I'm fortunate.

First of all, Duke great photo! That one is for the books. My Favorite Historical Period? Well, there are no Psychedelic Sixties figures, nor Super Soul 70's figures, nor Mr. Roboto 80's figures, so I guess maybe the 1990's when I went to the Gulf War. The problem is that my uniform won't fit!!! So, maybe a Roman with the body armor that make you look like you have a six pack.
