Hello,
Below is the latest info on the Texas Show provided by Nick of TSSSD. Start making your plans now!

THIS WILL BE THE LAST SHOW IN TEXAS PRODUCED DIRECTLY BY TSSD.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, 2011

REASON:

BASICALLY, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT & SEMI-STRESSFUL TO PLAN A SHOW FROM 1,300 MILES AWAY.

THE CHICAGO SHOW PEOPLE LIVE IN CHICAGO. JERSEY, MASS, NY & PA SHOWS ARE RUN BY PEOPLE IN THOSE PLACES.

THE WEST COASTER IS RUN BY FOLKS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, AND SO ON.

THE TEXAS SHOW IS PRODUCED FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA; DUH??

WE ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO JUST DO ONE SHOW IN TEXAS FOR FUN.

AND NOW, IT IS THE 5th ANNIVERSARY!

THE SHOW HAS GROWN INCREDIBLY IN JUST 4 YEARS. FROM 12 DEALERS TO 50+. 25 TABLES TO 100+.

FROM 1700 SQUARE FEET TO A 5,000 SQUARE FOOT BALLROOM, PLUS 1,000 FEET IN THE ADJACENT ROOM.

IT'S THE ONLY SHOW I KNOW OF THAT HAS HAD AN "EVENING PRE-SHOW" PARTY FOR DEALERS AND COLLECTORS EVERY YEAR.

IN THE PAST 4 YEARS, IT IS THE ONLY SHOW I HAVE SEEN COVERED BY THE MEDIA, AND ON THE TV NEWS.

THE VENUE ITSELF IS THE BEST, BEING LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE ALAMO AND THE FAMED RIVER WALK.

FROM THE "LADIES CORNER", TO THE "LIVING HISTORY" CHARACTER ACTORS, TO THE EXCELLENT RESTAURANT WITH TERRIFIC - AND AFFORDABLE - BUFFETS FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER - THIS SHOW HAS IT ALL.

WE DO HOPE TO PASS THE SHOW TO SOMEONE A LITTLE CLOSER TO SAN ANTONIO, SO THAT IT WILL CONTINUE.

WE WOULD OF COURSE CONTINUE TO GO, BUT AS A DEALER ONLY. WE WANT TO HAVE SOME FUN, TOO!

SO, IF YOU HAVE - OR HAVE NOT BEEN - TO ONE OF THESE TEXAS SHOWS, I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU REST YOUR HORSE FOR THE TRIP NEXT MAY, SAVE UP A FEW PESOS, THEN SADDLE UP AND 'GIT' ON DOWN TO SAN ANTONE!!

SEE YOU'ALL THERE!!

Thanks Martin for posting. Nick and Deanna have done a great job ib this shoiw. Yes it has grown. Heck, it was the show that got me to move from Southern California to San Antonio...just kidding.

King and Country sponsers the pre show cocktail hour the night before and its worth coming to that event too. I'll be going again next May 2011.
