Great Show, no floods and plenty of collectors.

The lighting was more than challenging taken with a new camera I was clueless how to operate.

Hope you like the photos.

Carlos:

Great pictures as usual. I saw you snapping away at the show and I didn't want to interrupt your work but I have to say your skills with a camera are top notch!!!!!

Carlos

You and your new camera performed marvelously, the fine details are really crisp .... thank you for sharing.

What's the story behind the Jonathan Winters' collection ?

"Woody" (at Old Toy Soldiers of San Diego) told me Craig (a.k.a. Bubba) rescued a huge toy soldier collection from the estate of Jonathan Winters recently. Someone had broken up the sets and sold many of them "piece meal" before Craig got them.

Oh wow ... from his little picture, Mr Winters look extremely pleased with the prices his favorite toy soldiers are commanding. :salute:: Sure would have liked to pick up a piece or two in memory of the man.

Carlos, Terrific Job on the Photography !!! By the way your new camera looks and performs awesome ^&grin
I would have to agree 100% this years show was the best one yet ! Plenty of professional looking re enactors showed up, along with a fully packed ballroom of Toy Soldier Dealers.
As soon as the show kicked off on Saturday collectors were swarming in like there was a 75% off sale going on ! Very impressive it was. Great to see Duke again "WWII Buff"
and Mike Miller, along with getting to meet my wing man "Panzer Ace" Jason and John "Hotel3Alpha" ......Hats off to Mike for showing us the new restaurant several blocks
away. We enjoyed the food immensely ^&grin Amazing how these past 4 days flew by so quickly, but like the saying goes.......Time fly's when you are having FUN :salute::
Also got to chat on Friday night with Nicholas from Crown Toy Soldiers during our Friday night dinner get together after the Pre-show party. Also a very well deserved salute to
KingsX for organizing the event. Everything went off like clock work :salute:: :salute:: :salute::

Great photos Carlos, thanks for posting them. :salute::

Jeff

Thanks Jeff:

Just a small down payment on the wonderful coverage you and the others give on the various London Shows.

I've always appreciated the "labor of love" for the hobby you guys give.

The taking, uploading, editing, and posting. "Hats off" to you guys again!

Carlos

THANK YOU Carlos .... You helped bring the TX Toy Soldier show to Maine!
Wonderful photos, sharp and crisp.

We should start a ... Caption Contest for some of the shots of Andy and Nick at the podium ....! {sm2}

I have heard of a few "celebrities" who collect (collected) Toy Soldiers the last few weeks.

I wonder ...did anyone ever compile a list of these people?

Carlos,

What's the story on that great WW2 diorama? Who made it? Was it for sale? If so how expensive was it? That was impressive!.

Joe
