A couple of years ago I had quite a collection of WWII King & Country toy soldiers. Their selection is quite large and they have regular releases which kept me on my toes. My dilemma was I craved more realistic proportions and better detail. After thinking it over for a month or two I decided to sell the entire collection and have not bought any toy soldiers of this or any similar scale.
I would occasionally check out this forum just to see what's out there and then I heard about an upcoming WWII range from First Legion. I check out the pictures and WOW! Realistic life-like proportions, great detail and the painting is simply unmatched by anything I've seen in the WWII era I prefer.
I've now decided to get back in to toy soldier collecting and the Stalingrad range from First Legion will be my entry point. Like the K&C guy stated in his thread above, it's all about personal preference. I choose this range because of how it meets my very picky standards and am glad it got me back in to this hobby.
Thank you to First Legion for raising the bar to all new levels and bringing me back. I look forward to seeing where this goes.
