My wife and I attended last nights K&C Dinner. It truely was a pleasure to meet Peter, Shannon, Myszka and Mike. We, also, personally met Andy. Anyone who has met and talked with these people understand that their success came and continues to come from their vibrancy, their passion, and their connecting with people on a genuinely personal level. After listening to Andy's talk, I can tell the future and the direction of our collecting hobby is well secured. I am also thankful for having had the opportunity to display some of my uncle's wwII photos, maps, citations, and diagrams. He was a gunner on a Hellcat tank destroyer...705th t.d. btn..He fought at Bastogne. All veterans past and present deserve so much more in return for their efforts to secure our freedom. In the military, there is a prepatory command...and a command of execution. Decisions on war...the policies on war...the prepatory commands of war are given by people who usually sit in a chair or on a couch. The Commands of Execution are carried out....many times by ordinary people who saw a risk to their country and put their lives in grave danger to defend that freedom. Let us enjoy our hobby all year long...let us remember that the price of these vehicles and soldiers came from a higher cost...the lives and sacrifices of our veterans.

you could see the passion in andy when i introduced deitz's god son to him . it was 8 yr old connor. they really enjoyed meeting each other . andy had a real legitimate smile on him and was glad to introduce him to his ex wifes 7yr old son

I wish I had my camera with me to show you the various momentos that Paul had brought of his Uncle and how K & C had set up some small dios demonstrating action in the Bulge. It was museum quality. Paul also handed out to everybody replica photos of his Uncle with his unit in December 1944, a copy of dispatches from the 101st in December 1944, a report about the 705st being given a citation from President Roosevelt and a Unit Citation from General Patton. I will try to see if I can scan them in and post them.

It wAs very nice stuff and a great tribute. I am sorry his uncle was not able to make the trip. An honour it would have been to have met him.

Here are scans of what Paul gave out dinner the other night. Apologies for the quality.
