I just wanted to thank John for coming to "the bunker" on the 28th. We had a steady stream of visitors on Wednesday at the shop chatting and viewing Johns new sets.

Here is a new Indian from Braddocks defeat

and Gordon at Khartoum!

sorry files to large!

ok, sent, also just posted on hobby bunker forum

There were also 3 new Jacobite Hand to hand sets and a new standard bearer

Matt from Hobby Bunker...was kind enough to forward these photos from John's visit to his shop.

Thanks, Matt. It was a great time.

I hope you will do this again with other TS "personalities." I enjoyed meeting John outside the madness of a show table and really having a conversation without feeling like I am taking up too much time.

If you look at the photo of the Indian, the painted resin master of the Gordon Highlander in the Sudan appears in the background, along the right edge of the photo, just above the container of yellow paint.

Walt and PJ posted the photo on thursday on my JJ Sudan thread

Great photos! And also excellent figures, tremendous painting!
Guys, is it me or are Jenkins figures changing slightly? To me the looks of the faces are not that radical Jenkins, I mean not that «Neanderthal» look, they are looking quite better than earlier figures. I have been noticing this from the latest FIW releases onwards and believe this might atract new collectors to Jenkins (like me:p).All of this IMHO of course. Now what is your opinion on this? Am I seeing things?:D

Isn't that just amazing looking! I already asked John to make me a diorama so I can set up a square being attacked by Mahdists . . .:cool:

Louis

Will you be getting your square before the official release of the Gordons next year? If so please have Kevin shoot pictures of it so we can all drool about what can be done with this wonderful new series. I take it you have already set aside a portion of the LB Museum for your display. I wonder what treasures John will bring for the Museum when he visits the NY Symposium in March?

Will you also be adding the new Britains Sudan to your collection? You should have Ken and Ericka Osen make a complete Sudan environment for you including buildings, palm trees and one of Ken's superb painted backdrops!

I think you may be right. His sculpting seems to be softening a bit. John listens to his customers, and perhaps he has heard this viewpoint.
